Frequently Asked Questions
I am studying the Diploma of Languages and/or taking cross institutional courses as part of my study load. Will this affect my Commonwealth scholarship? The Diploma of Languages is not a degree program and therefore subjects taken as part of the Diploma of Languages cannot be counted towards study load for the Commonwealth Scholarships. The Commonwealth Scholarship guidelines are very clear that students must be undertaking full time study in an undergraduate program. In order to receive your Commonwealth scholarship, you must ensure you are undertaking at least 75% load in your undergraduate program. The Diploma of Languages should only make up 25% of your load. You may undertake cross-institutional studies as part of your study load for the Commonwealth Scholarships provided that the courses count towards your undergraduate degree program and that your overall enrolment is full time. |
