Parkinson's SA Norman Weir Scholarship

Parkinson's SA was established in 1983 to provide services and represent people with Parkinson's and their families. As a result of a bequest from the late Mr Norman Weir, a person with Parkinson's, Parkinson's SA has established a Research Foundation and as part of that Foundation wishes to encourage research into Parkinson's disease at the Honours level.

In 2013 the first scholarship of $3000 is being offered to an Honours student in South Australia whose main focus of study is Parkinson's disease, whether in a medical, health science or social science field.

To be considered, students are asked to complete this form, have it signed by their supervisor and submit it to christine@parkinsonssa.org.au by 28 March 2013.

For further information please contact Christine Belford, CEO, on the email above or by phone on 8357 8909. Applications will be considered by an expert panel and the selected student will be advised on World Parkinson's Day, 11 April 2013. The result will be shown on the Parkinson's SA website www.parkinsonssa.org.au
