The Foundation is willing to receive applications for studentships from tertiary students who are studying for degrees below the level of doctorate within Australia, and who are preparing theses as part of their studies. Three studentships to the value of $2,000 each are available each year, the funds from which may be applied to either technical or personal expenses.
The conditions are that the subject of the thesis must be related to intellectual disability, and that the thesis plan has been approved by the Department or Faculty within which the student is working.
Applications should take the form of a letter setting out a description of the studies being undertaken and a typed copy of the thesis plan, together with a supporting letter from the Head of the relevant Department. These must reach the Grants Secretary, PO Box 4075, Ringwood Vic 3134, or can be emailed to phil.newell@internode.on.net no later than 30th April.
