Adelaide Access Scholarship
The application, assessment and offer process for Adelaide Access Scholarships is managed by SATAC
The University of Adelaide will award a number of scholarships for students commencing undergraduate programs in 2012 who have not commenced a post-secondary program of study previously (university or VET).
To be eligible for the Adelaide Access Scholarships, applicants must:
- gain admission to an undergraduate Bachelor's level course of study as a Commonwealth Supported student at the University of Adelaide commencing in 2012; and
- enrol on a full time basis (unless there are special circumstances preventing this, such as disability); and
- be Australian citizens, Australian Permanent residents, New Zealand citizens, or holders of a permanent humanitarian visa; and
- belong to one or more of the following student groups:
- students in financial need;
- students from rural or isolated areas who must move away from home to study;
- students from a non-English speaking background;
- students with a disability.
Eligible students will be ranked for selection based on academic merit.
Recipients of the Adelaide Access Scholarship will receive $2,500 per annum, paid in two (2) instalments in April and September for the duration of their studies, up to a maximum of four (4) years.
Applications open on 19 January 2012 and close on Friday 2 March 2012.
*Students applying for the Adelaide Access Scholarships (through the SATAC website) will be automatically considered for the Adelaide Start-Up Scholarships, and vice versa.
