Adelaide Undergraduate Scholarships
The University will offer Adelaide Undergraduate Scholarships in 2012 to all South Australian students who have demonstrated outstanding academic merit by obtaining an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) of 99.95 (with no bonuses).
These Scholarships will provide an allowance of $10,610 per annum in 2012 for a maximum period of up to four years (indexed) to assist with education/living costs of a student’s program at the University of Adelaide.
Scholarships will be offered to all students who:
- are Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia
- qualify for their year 12 certificate (South Australian Certificate of Education or International Baccalaureate) at a South Australian School in 2010 or 2011
- have applied through SATAC for admission to a Commonwealth Supported Place in an undergraduate Bachelor’s degree program at the University of Adelaide in 2012 and are eligible to receive an offer of a place in that program
- are commencing post secondary studies for the first time in 2012
- obtain an ATAR of 99.95, exclusive of all bonus points.
The award of this Scholarship is subject to the student’s admission to an undergraduate Bachelor’s program and confirmation of full time enrolment at each of the census dates (31 March and 31 August). Scholarships will normally be taken up in the year that they are offered but where candidates decide to defer their offer of a place they may also defer their offer of a scholarship for up to one year upon written notice to the Scholarships Office.
The scholarship will be payable in two equal instalments subject to confirmation of continuing eligibility at each of the census dates each year and satisfactory academic progress in their studies. Students must obtain a Grade Point Average of at least 5.0 (credit average) at the end of first semester 2012 in order to receive the second scholarship instalment.
Students will be eligible to hold both an Adelaide Undergraduate Scholarship and a South Australian Principals' Scholarship at the University of Adelaide.
No formal application is necessary; the University will contact all eligible students.
