Two grants are available to students undertaking a Bachelors degree in the Faculty of Health Sciences (with a preference for studies in Medicine) at the University of Adelaide. These grants will provide financial assistance for students in meeting educational and living costs.
Two grants of $5,000 are to be offered for students in the second year of the above named degree program at the University of Adelaide.
These grants are available to Australian citizens who are undertaking a Bachelors degree in the Faculty of Health Sciences on a full time basis at the University of Adelaide as a Commonwealth supported student.
Selection for these grants will be made according to academic merit and financial need.
Academic merit for selection purposes will be determined according to candidates’ cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) derived from their previous year’s study in consultation with the Faculty of Health Sciences.
Students must provide supporting documentary evidence of financial need at the time of application, e.g. details of income tested Commonwealth income support payment, such as Youth Allowance, Austudy, ABSTUDY benefits, or other details of their financial circumstances.
The grants must be taken up in the year in which they are offered: acceptance of the grant offer cannot be deferred.
