Department for Transport, Energy and Infrastructure (DTEI) Scholarship in Civil Engineering

This Scholarship has been established by the Department for Transport, Energy and Infrastructure (DTEI), a South Australian Government organisation that has diverse responsibilities in relation to transport system and services, energy policy and regulation, and infrastructure planning for South Australia.

The Scholarship is provided to assist a commencing student who is undertaking a Bachelor program of study in the area of Civil Engineering at the University of Adelaide for the duration of their undergraduate program [usually four years, but up to a maximum of five years].

The total funding of the Scholarship will be $10,800 to be paid in equal instalments over the period of study. Continuation of the scholarship is dependent on satisfactory academic progress.

The scholarship is available to Australian citizens, or permanent residents, undertaking either the Bachelor of Engineering (Civil and Structural) or the Bachelor of Engineering (Civil and Environmental) program of study at the University of Adelaide. The recipient may undertake double degrees, as long as he/she remains enrolled also in either of the above programs of study.

Scholarship applicants must be undertaking study on a full time basis as a Commonwealth supported student. Students in receipt of other major Engineering Scholarships may not apply for this Scholarship.

Selection will be based on academic merit.

Applications closed Friday 6 March 2009.
