The Ferry Scholarships

The Ferry Scholarship is funded by a bequest from the late Cedric Arnold Seth Ferry, for the purpose of promoting study and research in the scientific fields of Physics and/or Chemistry. The Ferry Scholarship is available to applicants undertaking an Honours degree at either Flinders University, the University of South Australia or the University of Adelaide in 2010.

Applicants must be Australian Citizens, under the age of 25 years at 1 January 2010, and able to demonstrate financial need. Applicants must be eligible for enrolment in an Honours program in 2010 and must have obtained, or expect to obtain in 2009, an undergraduate degree majoring in physics and/or chemistry.

The value of the scholarship will be as determined by the Ferry Board of Management, up to $7500 and selection will be based on financial need and academic merit. Scholarships will be for 1 year in duration.
