The scholarship is made available due to the generosity of members of the South Australian Legal Fraternity and the proceeds of the Portrait of John Bray and Dame Roma Glimpses of a Glorious Life Volumes.
Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia; be accepted for one or two semesters to one of the University of Adelaide's official exchange programs; be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate law degree at the University of Adelaide; be able to demonstrate financial need.
The award of the scholarship is subject to acceptance into an Exchange Program at the University of Adelaide and commencement of this Exchange within 12 months of approval. Recipients will be required to produce evidence of their financial status at the time of application e.g. proof of receipt of Youth Allowance/Austudy/Abstudy before the scholarship can be confirmed.
The scholarship will provide $3,000 to assist a student enrolled in the Ordinary or Honours degrees of Bachelor of Laws at the University of Adelaide, to participate in a recognised University ofAdelaide Exchange program. Students must be able to demonstrate financial need.
The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of financial need and academic merit. The recipient will be as determined by The Dean of the Law School. Where there are two candidates of equal merit, the scholarship shall be shared equally.
