The Khurana Frost Scholarship for Musical Performance
This Scholarship has been established by Mrs and Mr Michael Frost and Mrs and Professor Ashok Khurana in the memory of their mothers to promote excellence in Classical Music Performance.
This Scholarship will support one third year student who is undertaking the Bachelor of Music (Performance) program of study in the Classical Music area at the University of Adelaide.
The scholarship provides $5,000 for one year.
This scholarship is open to all students regardless of their citizenship. Students must have achieved at least one Distinction grade in a performance based course in their preceding year of study to be eligible.
Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to academic merit, the student’s plan on how they propose to use the scholarship funds and excellence in performance based on a 10 minute performance as judged by representatives of The Elder Conservatorium. Academic merit will be assessed based on candidates’ academic performance in their second year of the Bachelor of Music program.
The Scholarship recipient will be required to attend the Scholarship Recognition Ceremony and present a performance for the donors, their friends and family at the University on a mutually convenient date and time.
