Landmark Undergraduate Scholarship in AgricultureA Scholarship has been established by Landmark which is a leading agribusiness company. Landmark is a diverse business offering merchandise, fertiliser, farm services, wool, livestock, finance, insurance and real estate to its customers.
Landmark is providing one scholarship to a student commencing university study for the first time and undertaking a program of study of either the Bachelor of Agriculture or the Bachelor of Science (Agricultural) at the University of Adelaide. The value of the scholarship is $5,000 per annum for the duration of the program for which the scholarship is awarded, up to a maximum of three years.
It is available to students who are Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia who have lived in South Australia for at least five years and who are from a regional or remote area.
Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to academic merit.
The recipient will be a positive ambassador for Landmark and may be offered the opportunity of work experience (a minimum of 8 weeks and up to 12 weeks) at Landmark over the summer vacation period while they hold the scholarship.
Students applying should also have a desire for a career in agronomy. Applications closed 6 March 2009.
