The Lindsay McWha Accommodation Scholarships

These scholarships have been established by Urbanest Pty Ltd, who operates nationally as a provider of student accommodation, owns and manages a student accommodation property in Adelaide. Urbanest Pty Ltd wish to have the scholarships named the Lindsay McWha Accommodation Scholarship, in recognition of the volunteer involvement of Lindsay McWha at the University of Adelaide from 2002 to 2012.

Two scholarships will be provided to support students from the Port Augusta region of South Australia who are commencing any undergraduate program of study on a full time basis as a Commonwealth Supported student at the University of Adelaide.

Each scholarship takes the form of a 25% discount on the yearly cost of a single ensuite room in a 6 person unit at an Urbanest student accommodation site, for a maximum period of three years. Scholarship recipients are responsible for paying the remaining 75% of their accommodation costs directly to Urbanest in each year.

These scholarships are available to students who are Australian citizens, New Zealand citizens or permanent residents of Australia.

Students must be able to demonstrate involvement in their school and/or local community. Selection of the successful candidates will be made according to academic merit and with reference to applicant's written statement regarding their involvement in their school and/or local community.

Academic merit will be determined according to ATAR scores.
