Macquarie University Physics and Astronomy Vacation Scholarships

Applications are sought for Summer Vacation Scholarships in Physics and Astronomy at Macquarie University for 6 - 7 weeks during January/February each year.

Supervised vacation research projects are available in the following areas:

- Astronomy & Astrophysics
- Astrophotonics
- Optical Characterization
- Optical Imaging & Sensing for Biology & Medicine
- Optical & Laser Physics & Applications
- Organic Semiconductors
- Photonic Materials and Devices
- Quantum Optics & Information Theory
- Science Education
- Vacuum UV Sources & Applications

(Applicants should indicate 2 fields of interest)

The tax-free stipend is $500 per week.

Successful applicants from outside the Sydney metro area will receive financial support of return travel to Sydney to take up the scholarship.
