This Scholarship has been established to commemorate the memory of R.A.M. McConnochie.
The Scholarship is open to any undergraduate student who has successfully completed the work of the first three years of the program leading to the degrees of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS).
The Scholarship will provide assistance with education and living costs to the amount of $5,000 per year for two students for the fourth and fifth or fifth and sixth years of each student’s program, subject to the maintenance of a satisfactory academic performance in each semester of enrolment.
Selection for this scholarship will be made according to financial need.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate financial need by providing supporting documentary evidence at the time of application, eg details of income tested Commonwealth income support payment, such as Youth Allowance, Austudy, ABSTUDY benefits, or other details of their financial circumstances.
Completed and signed application forms must be returned in person to the Education and Welfare Office, Student Care Inc., Ground Floor, Lady Symon Building, at which time a short interview will take place.
