Menzies International EASIS Scholarship

This Scholarship has been established by Menzies International to support one student who is undertaking a program of study at the University of Adelaide and who has been identified by the University as an elite athlete for a period of one year.

The Scholarship will provide an amount of $2,500 payable in two instalments to the student following confirmation of enrolment at the census dates to assist with education and living costs.

This Scholarship is open to a student who is an Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia who is undertaking a program of study at the University of Adelaide as a commencing or continuing student.  The student should be undertaking study as a Commonwealth Supported student and must be enrolled on each of the census dates (usually 31 March and 31 August) to be eligible to receive this Scholarship. For the purposes of the Scholarship, students undertaking at least 50% of a full course load are to be considered eligible to apply.

Students must be able to demonstrate financial need and be able to provide supporting documentary evidence at the time of application, eg details of income tested Commonwealth income support payment - such as Youth Allowance, Austudy, ABSTUDY benefits - or other details of their financial circumstances.

Selection will be based on academic merit and financial need.

Applications closed Friday 6 March 2009.
