Royal Agricultural and Horticultural Education Foundation of SA Roseworthy Scholarship

This Scholarship has been established by the Royal Agricultural and Horticultural Education Foundation of SA in support of the Roseworthy Campus and Student Fund (The Fund).

This Scholarship is open to students who are Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia and undertaking an undergraduate program of study in the field of Agriculture or Horticulture based at the Roseworthy Campus of the University of Adelaide.  Applicants must have been resident in South Australia for at least ten years.

The Scholarship will provide the sum of $5,000 over two years of the approved program for which the student is offered the Scholarship, subject to the student maintaining satisfactory academic progress and demonstrating continuing financial need.

Applicants must be in their second year of their degree program and undertaking study on a full time basis as a Commonwealth Supported student.  Students must be enrolled on the census dates (31 March and 31 August each year) to be eligible to receive this scholarship.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate academic merit as well as financial need and be able to provide supporting documentary evidence at the time of application, eg details of income tested Commonwealth income support payment, such as Youth Allowance, Austudy, ABSTUDY benefits, or other details of their financial circumstances.

Applicants will be short-listed primarily having regard to financial need. Short-listed applicants will be required to attend an interview with a panel including the Director of Roseworthy College, a member of the ROCA Committee, a representative from the Co-Patrons of the Roseworthy Campus and Student Fund and the Scholarship Office.
