University of Adelaide South Australian Merit Scholarships
The University will offer South Australian Merit Scholarships in 2009 to all South Australian students who have demonstrated outstanding academic merit by obtaining a Tertiary Entrance Rank (TER) of 99.95 (with no bonuses). These Scholarships will provide an allowance of $10,000 to assist with education/living costs for the first year of a student’s program at the University of Adelaide.
Scholarships will be offered to all students who:
- are Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia
- qualify for their year 12 certificate (South Australian Certificate of Education or International Baccalaureate) at a South Australian School in 2007 or 2008
- have applied through SATAC for admission to a Commonwealth Supported Place in an undergraduate Bachelor’s degree program at the University of Adelaide in 2009 and are eligible to receive an offer of a place in that program
- are commencing post secondary studies for the first time in 2009
- obtain a TER of 99.95, exclusive of all bonus points.
Students will be eligible to hold both a South Australian Merit Scholarship and a South Australian Principals Scholarship or a Drought Affected Area School Scholarship at the University of Adelaide. No other major University scholarship may be held in conjunction with the Adelaide South Australian Merit Scholarship in 2009.
No formal application is necessary; the University will contact all eligible students.
