SIEF Undergraduate Program - Honours Scholarships

The 2012 SIEF (Science and Industry Endowment Fund) Scholarships program includes up to ten honours scholarships with a focus on areas with a mathematics/numeracy component, and the aim of helping to develop undergraduates into independent researchers.

Funding:

Scholarships are for one year. A grant of $10,000 will consist of $5,000 as a contribution towards supporting the student, and $5,000 operating for each proposal chosen. SIEF strongly encourages use of consumable funds to support student travel to a national conference in the relevant field.

The Candidate must be:

A full-time student for the period of the scholarship;
Enrolled at an eligible Australian Higher Education Institute for an honours year, after completing a Bachelor of Science;
An Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident;
Available to commence by February 2012.
