The Science and Industry Endowment Fund (SIEF) Scholarship

The Science and Industry Endowment Fund (SIEF) is providing funding for one scholarship valued at $8,000 per year for up to four years.

The scholarship is available to commencing students who are either of Indigenous background or normally based in a rural or remote location and are of low socio-economic background. Students must be commencing a Bachelor's level program in the field of Engineering, Science or Computer Science at the University of Adelaide.

The scholarship is available to students undertaking study on a full time basis as a Commonwealth supported student. The recipient may undertake a double degree, as long as one of their programs of study is in the field of Engineering, Science or Computer Science.

Students in receipt of other substantial competitive scholarships are not eligible for this Scholarship.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate that they are of low socio-economic background (i.e. are in financial need) and be able to provide supporting documentary evidence at the time of application, e.g. details of income tested Commonwealth income support payment, such as Youth Allowance, Austudy, ABSTUDY benefits, or other details of their financial circumstances.

Selection for this scholarship will be made according to academic merit and financial need. Academic merit will be determined according to ATAR or equivalent scores.
