Adelaide Start-Up Scholarship
The application, assessment and offer process for Adelaide Start-Up Scholarships is managed by SATAC
The awarding of these scholarships will be dependent on available funding.
To be eligible for the Adelaide Start-Up Scholarships, applicants must:
- gain admission to an undergraduate Bachelor’s level course of study as a Commonwealth Supported student at the University of Adelaide commencing in 2012 (Please note: students who have commenced a post-secondary program of study previously - University of VET - will NOT be considered); and
- enrol on a full time basis (unless there are special circumstances preventing this, such as disability); and
- be Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents, New Zealand citizens, or holders of a permanent humanitarian visa; and
- belong to one or more of the following student groups:
1) students in financial need;
2) students from rural or isolated areas who must move away from home to study;
3) students from a non-English speaking background;
4) students with a disability
Eligible students will be ranked for selection based on academic merit.
Recipients of Adelaide Start-Up Scholarship will receive $2,000 per annum, paid in two (2) instalments in April and September for one (1) year.
Applications closed Friday 2 March 2012.
*Students applying for the Adelaide Access Scholarships (through the SATAC website) will be automatically considered for the Adelaide Start-Up Scholarships, and vice versa.
