Toro Energy Geology Scholarship This Scholarship is open to students who are Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia studying at the University of Adelaide on a full time basis as a Commonwealth Supported student. The scholarship will support a third year student who is undertaking the final year of the Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Geology, at the University of Adelaide in 2009 and will continue to the Honours degree of Bachelor of Science, majoring in Geology in 2010.
The Scholarship will be provided for a maximum of two years and will provide $8,000 per annum to the student to assist with education and living costs. Preference will be given to students from rural or regional backgrounds.
The scholarship is for a maximum of two years of the approved programs for which the student is offered the Scholarship subject to the student maintaining satisfactory academic progress. The student must remain enrolled in the Bachelor of Science degree, or Honours degree of Bachelor of Science, majoring in Geology.
Selection will be made taking into consideration academic merit and/or the rural or regional background of applicants. Students may be required to attend an interview.
Students may not receive other major ongoing University of Adelaide Scholarships with this scholarship. Applications closed Friday 6 March 2009.
