Trevor Dillon Roseworthy Study ScholarshipThis Scholarship has been established by the Roseworthy Old Collegians Association (ROCA) in memory of Trevor Dillon, a noted graduate of Roseworthy College. It is administered within the framework of the Roseworthy Campus and Student Fund.
This Scholarship is open to first year students who are Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia, undertaking a Bachelor of Agricultural Sciences, Bachelor of Science (Animal Science) or Bachelor of Science (Pre-Veterinary) program of study at the University of Adelaide and who reside at Roseworthy Residential College. The scholarship will meet the student’s residential costs at Roseworthy College for the first year of their undergraduate program, subject to the student maintaining satisfactory academic progress and demonstrating financial need.
Eligible students should be in the first year of study on a full time basis as a Commonwealth Supported student. Applicants will be short-listed, having regard to financial need as demonstrated by the provision of supporting documentary evidence at the time of application (eg. details of income tested Commonwealth income support payment such as Youth Allowance, Austudy, Abstudy or other details of financial circumstances). Students must be enrolled on the census dates (31 March and 31 August each year) to be eligible to receive this scholarship.
Students in receipt of other major University administered scholarships provided to assist with accommodation costs are not eligible for this Scholarship. The Scholarship must be taken up in the year in which it is offered and acceptance of the Scholarship offer cannot be deferred. If a student declines the Scholarship offer, the Scholarship will be offered to the next eligible student. Short-listed applicants will be required to attend an interview with a panel including the Director of Roseworthy College, a member of the ROCA Committee, a representative from the Co-Patrons of the Roseworthy Campus and Student Fund and the Scholarships Office.
