Library Access for Year 12 Students

The University of Adelaide recognises that there may be students in, or heading towards, Year 12 who require access to university-level information. Therefore the Barr Smith Library now provides a special library service for year 12 students where senior secondary students are able to access many of the resources the library has on offer.

If your school signs up for the library scheme for schools, you'll be able to come in and borrow from the library's two million books, use the massive collection of periodicals and browse their extensive data bases. Ask your year coordinator to find out whether your school has joined.

If your school is not part of the scheme, there are still many free services available such as the online subject guides. The guides provide huge amounts of information for use in senior secondary subjects. They have been carefully prepared by our subject librarians and contain hundreds of web links, titles of selected books and various other resources.

To find out more Visit the Barr Smith Library's website. You may use the library's online catalogue at any time and may also come into the library and use most resources on site without registering as a borrower.
