PLACE ITEM IN A PLASTIC RUBBISH BIN LINER

COVER THE PACKAGE
If no plastic bag is available just cover

DO NOT DISTURB THE ITEM IF SPILT

Do not try to clean it up or brush
it from clothing

COVER THE PACKAGE
(eg with a garbage bin)
to inhibit dispersal

  • Check that the Emergency Services have been notified.
  • Record name of person, their phone number, their location and current status.
  • Provide advice re procedures if required
  • Maintain communications with the area involved
  • Prevent others from entering the area and becoming contaminated.
  • Identify how many people have been exposed and if anyone has left the area.
  • Contact senior management.
  • Shutdown the lift and air-conditioning (if applic).
  • Contact and brief the other members of the ECO of plan of action.
  • Request occupants in other areas, cease inter floor movement and remain where they are until further notice.
  • Record actions taken on the Emergency message/action log.

Arrange to meet the Emergency Services.

Move to an adjoining room and close doors & windows

IF POSSIBLE WASH YOUR HANDS TO

Keep hands away from face, eyes, nose and mouth

PREVENT OTHERS FROM ENTERING THE AREA AND BECOMING CONTAMINATED
