Restricted Master Key Systems - Security Services offers three types of restricted keying systems.

  • ABLOY PROTEC - is a high security mechanical keying system which is being installed at North Terrace, Waite and Roseworthy Campuses.  The University has an exclusive keying profile and Security Services is responsible for the strict management of the system, including installation, maintenance and key control.
  • ABLOY PROTEC CLIQ - is an electromechanical keying system that combines the exclusive University keying profile with an electronically activated lock and programmable user key. CLIQ is stand-alone, there is no hard wiring required and Security Services are able to produce access audit trails and time zones.
  • Lockwood Generation Six and Status Six - Security Services is an authorised Service Centre for Lockwood Status Six Restricted Master Key Systems.  Keys for these systems can only be cut by Security and are cut on site.  All system modifications, additions and maintenance are managed by Security.  The University also has an exclusive Generation Six profile which is currently being installed at Thebarton Campus and various commercial properties.

Key Cutting - University related keys are cut to code or sample. Common keys duplicated are filing cabinet, cupboard, locker, noticeboard and office furniture keys. Should a unique or unusual key be presented for duplication, every effort is made to obtain the key blanks from our service providers.

Locks Installed - Commercial quality dead latches can be installed on most applications. Security provides a variety of locks and padlocks that can be used to secure windows, cupboards, desk drawers, noticeboards, computers and other property of value.

Emergency Lock Changes and Repairs - If a security breach occurs, Security can affect lock changes promptly and efficiently with minimal inconvenience. Most locks are repairable on site as Security Services stock a wide range of spare parts. The Security Service also offers an emergency lockout service.
