Information for Staff

The University of Adelaide Security Service provides a variety of assistance to staff.

Naturally, the protection of students, staff, academics and visitors is our prime concern. We encourage you to assist us in our task by contacting us if you see anybody or anything at all that looks a little unusual. If you have any suggestions on how we can improve the services we provide, please email us or telephone us on 8303 5990. We have an active interest in continuing on the path of proactive not reactive service.

Self-defence courses

You are invited to attend one of our free self-defence courses. These three hours courses are usually held between about 5.00pm and 8.00pm on the University campus. You can have a self-defence course facilitated specifically for your faculty or department however we require 10 as a minimum number. These can be facilitated during business hours.

Security Services also encourages you to make your Department or Faculty aware of the Security Awareness presentation on at least a yearly basis. The presentation takes about 15 minutes and can be arranged to co-incide with your usual weekly or monthly meetings.
