The University of Adelaide Security Service provides a variety of assistance to staff and students.

Naturally, the protection of students, staff, academics and visitors is our prime concern. We encourage you to assist us in our task by contacting us if you see anybody or anything at all that looks a little unusual. If you have any suggestions on how we can improve the services we provide, please email us or telephone us on 8313 5990. We have an active interest in continuing on the path of proactive not reactive service.

Safe Steps - Safety when Leaving Campus

Safe Steps is run by the University each year at the end of daylight savings to make you aware of the potential dangers of walking alone when leaving the campus and encourages you to take actions to ensure you travel safely to your car bus, train or taxi.

Self-defence courses

You are invited to attend one of our free self-defence courses. These courses are of three hours duration and are usually held between about 5.00pm and 8.00pm on the University campus, you could organise a group session, just contact us or attend a regular session.
