Singapore Challenge 2010

The Entrepreneurs’ Challenge is a business plan competition, which aims to foster the successful development of new ideas into investment-ready, early-stage companies, to stimulate innovation and entrepreneurship and to create genuine commercial prospects.

The University of Adelaide eChallenge, the Singapore Challenge, is an ‘OPEN’ challenge targeted at the following categories of participants: 

  • Current Year 1 to Year 3 Polytechnic students in any discipline
  • Polytechnic Graduates of age 26 years and below as at 31 December 2010
  • This competition is open to teams of 2 to 4 members, which may be formed by individuals either solely from one of the categories or a combination of the 2 categories
  • Teams may form up to 5 members

2 Categories of Submission:
a. Technology-based Ideas
b. Service Industry-based Ideas

The University of Adelaide eChallenge, the Singapore Challenge, is organised by the Ngee Ann-Adelaide Education Centre and sponsored by the Ngee Ann Kongsi. The Singapore Challenge is held in conjunction with The University of Adelaide eChallenge, held in South Australia which is organised by the Entrepreneurship, Commercialisation and Innovation Centre (ECIC), a faculty in the University of Adelaide.

Ngee Ann - Adelaide Education Centre (NAAEC) is a partnership between Ngee Ann Kongsi and the  University of Adelaide, established since 1998.  As the offshore campus of the University, NAAEC offers both Postgraduate and Undergraduate programs, and has graduated more than 2000 students since its establishment.

Entrepreneurship, Commercialisation and Innovation Centre (ECIC)

The ECIC mission is to encourage entrepreneurship and wealth creation by developing capability in the management (including project management) of innovation and its commercialisation. The ECIC, located within The University of Adelaide’s faculty of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences, offers a range of award and customized education programs that focus on entrepreneurship, innovation management, commercialisation and project management.

The University of Adelaide offers the Bachelor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship program in Ngee Ann-Adelaide Education Centre. The program is designed to develop and inspire individuals with an interest in starting or assisting innovative ventures that have the potential to make significant impacts on markets, economies and communities.

Graduates who hold a Diploma (or equivalent) from a recognised Polytechnic are eligible to enroll in the program. For more information, please email to angelinalaw@naaec.com.sg.
