Program Outline

The University of Adelaide’s Master of Accounting and Finance offers a combination of accounting and finance studies that will enhance career prospects and extend knowledge of both disciplines. Students choose either accounting or finance as their primary discipline, and undertake supplementary courses in the other discipline.

Professional Accreditation

• Graduates choosing the accounting specialization as their primary discipline will meet the academic requirements for admission to the CPA Program of CPA Australia 
• The Program also covers a substantial part of the body of knowledge for those wanting to proceed with professional studies offered by the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute (CFA)

Graduation and Degree

Postgraduates who successfully complete the Master of Accounting and Finance will be awarded the Master of Accounting and Finance degree by the University of Adelaide. The degree and transcript will be the same as that awarded to on-campus postgraduates.

Students may participate in the University of Adelaide's graduation ceremony on campus or at Ngee Ann-Adelaide Education Centre.

Teaching and Courses

Teaching is provided by core academic staff from the Business School, of the University of Adelaide , by staff from other departments within the University and by experienced management educators drawn from high quality business schools.

Admission Criteria

• A university degree from a recognized institution, or equivalent professional qualifications
• The Faculty may, subject to such conditions as it may see fit to impose in each case, accept as a candidate for the degree a person who does not satisfy the requirements of Rule above but who has presented evidence satisfactory to the Faculty of fitness to undertake work for the degree

• The above fees are subjected to 7% GST. 
• Application fee of S$200* (subjected to prevailing GST) upon application submission, which will be fully refunded if unsuccessful meeting the entry requirements
• Course fees are charged on the basis of the number of courses taken in a given trimester and are due 2 weeks prior to the start of the trimester
• Course fees cover course notes and examination fee 
• All fees quoted are in Singapore dollars. NAA reserves the right to change the course fee without prior notice

How to Apply

• For candidates from a non-English speaking background or those whose education was not in English. TOEFL (overall score of 575 or better) or IELTS results (overall band score of 6.5 or better) is required

• Applications cannot be considered unless all the relevant information is supplied
