Program Outline
The objective of the Master of Applied Finance program is to help individuals, and the organisations that employ them, to enhance their managerial effectiveness in the field of finance. This part-time program provides participants with a strong foundation in the principles and practice of finance, and furnishes them with new skills and analytical tools to form a sound basis for financial decision-making. The program will provide candidates with the following competencies: - A strong foundation in the principles and practice of finance, and a substantial base of new concepts and knowledge
- The ability to integrate and analyse financial information, and formulate appropriate strategies
- The ability to communicate clearly, persuasively and professionally
- Familiarity with major financial and statistical tools, software and databases
- The confidence and maturity to handle complex corporate and financial issues

Professional AccreditationGraduation and DegreePostgraduates who successfully complete the Master of Applied Finance will be awarded the Master of Applied Finance degree by the University of Adelaide. The degree and transcript will be the same as that awarded to on-campus postgraduates. Students may participate in the University of Adelaide's graduation ceremony on campus or at Ngee Ann-Adelaide Education Centre. - A university degree from a recognized institution, or equivalent professional qualifications
- The Faculty may, subject to such conditions as it may see fit to impose in each case, accept as a candidate for the degree a person who does not satisfy the requirements of Rule above but who has presented evidence satisfactory to the Faculty of fitness to undertake work for the degree
