Admission Criteria

  • A university degree from a recognized institution, or equivalent professional qualifications with at least 2 years of relevant work experience in commerce, government or industry.
  • Non-graduates with a diploma from a recognized polytechnic and a minimum of 7 years management experience can apply for admission via the Graduate Certificate in Management.

Intensive Teaching Block

A typical intensive teaching block is as follows:
Friday: 7.00 p.m. - 10.00 p.m.
Saturday: 1.00 p.m. - 8.00 p.m.
Sunday: 9.00 a.m. - 4.00 p.m.

Total duration for the each course:

The total contact hours per course is 30 hours over ONLY 2 weekends with an interval of 3 to 4 weeks break between each weekend.

Summer School

Each year, the University of Adelaide offers a range of intensive courses that are taught during the summer breaks as part of its Summer School. Credit and Advance Standing

  • Credit for up to four MBA courses may be granted on the basis of subjects completed for a Graduate Certificate of Management, a Graduate Diploma of Business Administration, or similar postgraduate studies undertaken at an equivalent institution to The University of Adelaide.
  • Advance standing in up to 3 courses is also granted for applicants who hold Certified Practising Accountant or Chartered Accountant qualifications.
  • No credit is granted for courses completed at the undergraduate level. Students who have studied economics, accounting, finance and other areas covered by the compulsory core of the MBA may apply for permission to substitute elective courses for specific compulsory courses.
