Fees and Costs

Fees vary considerably based on the duration, study load and inclusions of each program. The fees below are for Study Abroad students. Exchange students should read 'Information for Exchange Students' at left for more information about the fees they will incur.

Independent Program

Students are charged only for the number of units they take. Most courses at the University of Adelaide are 3 units. In 2013, international tuition for these programs will be charged at $900 per unit or $2700 per 3-unit course.

Immersion Program

Students are charged tuition fees as per the Independent Program, plus a fee for homestay accommodation. Homestay costs vary based on the duration of program. As Winter School courses vary in duration, the following price is for the whole Winter School period - individual prices can be given upon application.

The following prices are for an arrival date of Wednesday 26 June 2013 and departure date of Tuesday 30 July 2013.

Immersion Program including one 3-unit course: $4150
Includes tuition, homestay administration fee and homestay accommodation fee.

Immersion Program including two 3-unit courses: $6850
Includes tuition, homestay administration fee and homestay accommodation fee.

Experience Program

The package price includes tuition fees as per the Independent and Immersion Programs, accommodation fees as per the Immersion Program (if choosing homestay) or as per our apartment rate, plus a range of social activities (outlined here) designed to give students a comprehensive Australian experience.

The following prices are for an arrival date of Wednesday 26 June 2013 and departure date of Friday 2 August 2013 (from Sydney). 

Experience Program including one 3-unit course and homestay accommodation: $6680
Includes tuition, homestay administration fee, homestay accommodation fee and activities.

Experience Program including one 3-unit course and apartment accommodation: $7210
Includes tuition, apartment accommodation fee, $400 refundable bond and activities.

Experience Program including two 3-unit courses and homestay accommodation: $9380
Includes tuition, homestay administration fee, homestay accommodation fee and activities.

Experience Program including two 3-unit courses and apartment accommodation: $9910
Includes tuition, apartment accommodation fee, $400 refundable bond and activities.

Other costs

Students should factor in additional costs for airfares, insurance and living expenses while in Australia. Please contact your travel agent for an estimated price of airfares and travel insurance.

We encourage students to budget at least $1500-$2100 for additional meals and personal costs, however this is just an estimate.
