Cash Rewards

One of the great benefits of being a mentor is a $200 cash reward at the end of the semester.  The cash reward is presented with a certificate at a formal ceremony acknowledging your participation throughout the semester.

However, the a cash reward is not automatic and is dependant on the following:

• You must be an approved mentor
• You must have participated in the 5 core activities to receive the whole reward (see Essential Criteria)

If for some reason, you are unable to complete all five core activities, a part payment may be made at the discretion of the SmoothStart Program Coordinator. 

Cash rewards are paid from the Student Support Services Transition Unit funding.
