Research Statistics

Time series of research data provide summary information about research activities based on research income and publications data submitted to the DEST Finance Data Collection and the Higher Education Research Data Collection (HERDC.

• Research Income time series (1998-2008)
• Publications time series (1998-2008) 
• Research Block Funding time series (2002-2009)

The tables are presented in Excel pivot table format, enabling the user to view the data in many different layouts. If you have not used pivot tables before, please refer to the Pivot table help and instructions.

Performance indicators established by the Commonwealth are used in the allocation of research block grants. (staff access only)
