10 Pulteney Street RefurbishmentThe University's business, education and economics schools have relocated to their new home at 10 Pulteney Street following a $49 million refurbishment and interior fit-out of the building. The upgraded facility now houses Schools within the Faculty of the Professions including:
The completed project will provide staff and students with a contemporary environment for work and study, a central student service precinct, improved physical access for people with a disability and excellent common teaching areas. An exciting feature of the project is the construction of a glazed atrium linking the Tower and the Education Building. This new community space, complete with outdoor café, will provide a sunny yet protected meeting space for staff and students. It will also provide a point of interest for passers-by, who will be able to view the new space from Pulteney Street and North Terrace. The University has taken this opportunity to review energy management within the building as part of its commitment to sustainability and to upgrade its facilities to comply with the best building standards in Australia. |
