Conferences and Workshops

The 23rd Stroke Society of Australasia Annual Scientific Meeting will be held in Sydney, Australia, on 29-31 August 2012 at the Darling Harbour Convention Centre.
The conference will be a combined meeting with Smart Strokes.

In 2011, the Stroke Society of Australasia meeting was held at the Adelaide Convention Centre on 14-16 September 2011.  The convenor was Associate Professor Simon Koblar, from the Stroke Research Programme.

Frontier Technologies for Brain Repair

Christine Barry, Simon Koblar and David O'Carroll made the front cover of the August 2007 edition of Australian Science with their article Frontier Technologies for Brain Repair.

Generally, the article speaks about how engineers, geneticists and neuroscientists are working together to understand the human brain and forge a future where brain repair is beyond science fiction.
