Adelaide Approved

Adelaide Approved provides more certainty for applicants

Students applying to the University of Adelaide for a Commonwealth Supported Place now have fixed goal posts to aim for in a wide range of programs.

Adelaide Approved provides a fixed entry score set in advance, which gives you a clearer picture of the range of options that you have. You no longer need to worry about changing cut off scores that reflect supply and demand as the Adelaide Approved Score is simple and straightforward: just meet program prerequisites, achieve the required ATAR (including all bonus points, if eligible) and you’re in!

However, it is also very important to remember that there are certain application requirements and admissions rules for the Adelaide Approved Score. Please make sure that you have the correct amount of HESS General and Restricted subject passes within your completed SACE. It is your responsibility to ensure that you meet all application and admission requirements detailed in the SATAC University Guide and SATAC Tertiary Entrance Booklet (TEB). Speak to your school careers counsellor or visit www.satac.edu.au

Please note: Adelaide Approved is not a change in the admissions processes or a relaxation of the academic standards of the University of Adelaide, and entry to all programs will remain merit-based. Our aim with Adelaide Approved is simply to make it easier for you as applicants to get an idea of which programs are likely to be available to you as soon as you get your results.

Adelaide Approved programs

Engineering programs

Adelaide Approved Score: 80

Achieving an ATAR of 80+ and meeting the program prerequisites means you are in! If your first preference is oversubscribed (selection is merit-based but occasionally there are still too many applicants for the number of places available, due to physical space in a lab for instance) we will offer you a lower engineering preference. Many of our engineering programs have a common first year, providing an opportunity to transfer at a later stage - so make sure you have at least two Adelaide engineering preferences. If you need some assistance in setting your preferences to take advantage of the pathways available to you, please call our friendly University Contact Centre Staff (Phone: +61 8 8303 7335 (toll free 1800 061 459)) or come to one of our on campus events.

Humanities & Social Sciences programs

Sciences programs

Adelaide Approved Score: 75

  • Bachelor of Science (Animal Science)
  • Bachelor of Science (Pre-Veterinary)
