Deferment

Undergraduate Programs

Deferment of studies for two years is available for all programs excluding Arts/Music and other Music programs (no deferment permitted) and the Bachelor of Science (Pre-Veterinary (one year deferment only).

If you have received an offer through SATAC to an undergraduate program (except Music programs), you may apply to defer your place by responding to the offer on UniWeb with 'D' (defer) or 'DB' (defer but still wish to be considered for a higher preference).  

Internal transfer offers cannot be deferred.

 Postgraduate Programs

If you have received an offer through SATAC's GradStart admissions system, you may apply to defer your studies to a later date by contacting your relevant faculty, school or discipline.

It is at the faculty's discretion whether to allow you to defer your place and for how long.

Internal transfer offers cannot be deferred.
