Higher Education Applicants

Applicants who have completed at least half a year of full-time equivalent (FTE) higher education study can be considered for selection on the basis of their higher education academic record, either in addition to or instead of other qualifications where relevant, including in some instances their year 12 results. The length of completed study after which applicants with a higher education record become ineligible to have their year 12 results considered varies from program to program. It can range from less than one year of full-time study through to completed degrees.

By viewing the Selection criteria you can find out whether your previous higher education studies still allow you to be considered via other entry pathways, including year 12. Applicants may be eligible to be considered for admission via multiple pathways or sub-quotas, with their rank in one sub-quota in no way affecting their rank in another. This illustration helps demonstrate this. Eligibility for admission is assessed on the applicant's rank for the sub-quota in which they perform best.

In the case of Medicine only, applicants with any higher education record are not permitted to apply for entry to the program.

All applicants should ensure they meet the program prerequisites of any program they list as a preference.
