Undergraduate Internal Transfers for Semester 1, 2012

Applications for internal transfer for Semester 1, 2012 are now closed.

Applications for midyear internal transfer will open on this website in early May 2012.

Selection Criteria (Mid-Year)

The selection criteria for mid-year transfer, including prerequisite subjects will be consistent with requirements for Semester 1, 2012 entry, including the cut-off scores for entry in January 2012.

Depending on whether results from Semester 1, 2012 studies need to be considered, offers of mid-year internal transfer will be made from June 2012 onwards.

Eligibility

You will be eligible to apply for a mid-year internal transfer if:

• you are enrolled as a Commonwealth Supported Student, and
• you have an enrolment in an undergraduate program at the University in 2012, and
• you meet the subject prerequisites (if any) for the program that you want to transfer to.
• You are also eligible if you are enrolled in a double/combined degree at the University and wish to transfer into one or other of the degrees that make up the double/combined program

You will still need to apply via SATAC if you are:

• Enrolled in an AFBE place (domestic fee paying) and wish to transfer to a Commonwealth Supported place in the same or a different program.

An internal transfer process exists if you are upgrading to a higher level of some Postgraduate Coursework nested awards. See here for more information. Please note if you are completing an undergraduate award and wish to go on to postgraduate study, you will need to apply via SATAC.

The Discipline of Geology and Geophysics teaches about and undertakes research into our planet, earth. We investigate the earth, from its surface, through its crust and to its deep mantle using outcropping rocks, boreholes and geophysical remote sensing. From cataclysmic earthquakes and volcanic eruptions to imperceptibly slow surface weathering, we investigate the processes that have shaped our planet, its resources endowment and its environment throughout its 4.5 billion year history.
