VET Applicants
Applicants who have completed a relevant VET award can be considered for selection on the basis of their completed VET studies, in addition to other qualifications where relevant. Applicants may be eligible to be considered for admission via multiple pathways or sub-quotas, with their rank in one sub-quota in no way affecting their rank in another. This illustration helps demonstrate this. Eligibility for admission is assessed on the applicant's rank for the sub-quota in which they perform best.
The successful completion of a VET Certificate IV or Diploma (formerly called Associate Diploma) or Advanced Diploma meets the minimum entry requirement for many undergraduate programs offered by the university. See Selection criteria for more detailed information.
Many faculties grant status, also known as credit or advanced standing, for previous VET studies. Further information is available from the relevant faculty.
All applicants should ensure they meet the program prerequisites of any program they list as a preference.
Formal Credit Transfer arrangements with TAFESA can be viewed at the TAFE Credit Transfer Directory.
