Student-Industry Partnerships
The University of Adelaide offers industry linked education programs that link undergraduates, graduates, education and industry to promote innovation, research and knowledge transfer that brings together industry, commerce, University departments and students.
The programs give industry:
- Access to student knowledge for a particular project
- Establishment of an ongoing link with the University of Adelaide academic departments and staff
- Transfer of knowledge-based skills to the sponsor's organisations
- Viable alternative to an ongoing employee, with no additional costs
From a student or graduate perspective, the programs enable them to undertake paid industry-sponsored projects using their knowledge and skills gained through their studies.
To support this, the Office for Community Engagement is responsible for industry-linked education programs that place a high value on establishing and reinforcing the links with industry to bring together industry, commerce and university departments and students. The programs are:
Graduate Industry Placements - offer a structured workplace experience for graduate students.
