Information for StudentsWhat can the Careers Service do for you?There are many ways in which The University of Adelaide Careers Service can provide help with your career planning and progression:
CareerHubThe Careers Service is pleased to present a FREE online employment service for both local and international students, graduates and staff. Presenting CareerHub – a new online service to help in your career development. In addition to viewing all current vacancy listings in CareerHub, you will be able to find information on:
Because CareerHub is only available to University students, staff and alumni, you’ll need to register first before you can login. Login details for students and staff are the same as your University of Adelaide LDAP username and password. Please continue to watch this space as we are continually adding new careers information to CareerHub! Careers EventsThe University of Adelaide Careers Service offers students the opportunity to be involved with a variety of career related events from our annual Careers Expo to small group workshops and employer on campus presentations. All Careers Events are listed on CareerHub for students to view or book into. We would encourage you to register and check for event updates regularly and to build these into their personal career development strategy. Resume CheckingFor a quick resume check, drop in to the Careers Service on Level 6, Hughes Building or phone our Information Officer on (08) 8303 5123 to make a time. Careers Advising ServiceDue to the high demand for Careers advice, it is necessary to make an individual appointment. To book a time please phone our Information Officer on (08) 8303 5123. Please note that this service will be temporarily interrupted until 8th September 2008. Harrison Assessments Resource CentreLocated on Level 6, Hughes Building, The Careers Service has a Resource Room available for viewing careers videos/DVD's and two student computers for accessing web based resources on a self-help basis. We also have a collection of books which you are welcome to take a look at. Please call our Information Officer on (08) 8303 5123 who will be able to assist you. The careers and employment sections of a number of major newspapers are available for your perusal also. Current copies include The Advertiser, The Age and The Australian newspapers.
