Linking students, education and industry to create pathways to future employment

The University of Adelaide offers three industry linked education programs that links undergraduates, graduates, education and industry to promote innovation, research and knowledge transfer that brings together industry, commerce, University departments and students.  The programs enable graduate and undergraduate students to undertake paid industry sponsored based probjects using their knowledge and skills gained through their studies.

In support of this, the Office for Community Engagement is responsible for three industry linked education programs that place a high value on establishing and reinforcing the links with industry to bring together industry, commerce and university departments and students.  The programs are:

Graduate Industry Placements - offer a structured workplace experience for graduate students.  Students are placed with an industry under a collaborative sponsored agreement for 12 months to undertake and complete a project as directed by the industry sponsor while continuing to study for an appropriate University of Adelaide Masters Degree. http://www.adelaide.edu.au/community-engagement/sip/gip/

Project Industry Placements - offer a structured workplace experience for University of Adelaide undergraduate students with an industry under a collaborative sponsored agreement to carry out a project while studying. http://www.adelaide.edu.au/community-engagement/sip/pip/

Summer Industry Placements - offer a structured workplace experience for 2nd and 3rd/final year University of Adelaide undergraduate students over a 6 week period during the summer vacation. http://www.adelaide.edu.au/community-engagement/sip/summerip/
