Workshops, Seminars and Resources
Careers seminars and speaker sessions are run by the Careers Service throughout the year. These include the Resume Club, National Career Development Week speaker program, preparation seminars to get the most out of events such as Careers Expo and Employer on Campus Sessions.

We have workshops and seminars available in a range of topics throughout the year including regular workshops and resources listed below.

The Resume Club
The Resumé Club is a place where you can learn Careers Service staff who are available to share tips to create a great first impression with your cover letter and resumé. It is the first step to improving your application documents.
The Resumé Club is held on Fridays from 2.30-4.00pm:
Training Room 1, Level 3 of Hub Central
Places are limited and bookings are essential. You can book your place by logging on to CareerHub events. If you have any difficulties booking into a session please contact the Careers Service via email or call 08 8313 5123.

The Interview Circle
Want to learn strategies and skills for preparing to attend an interview? Then come along to our Interview Circle! In this workshop you will learn about:
- Types of interviews
- Appropriate attire and behaviours for the interview
- Interview techniques for answering questions
- Learn about using the STAR Model
You will also get a chance to ask questions, participate in a mock interview and become an interviewer.
The Interview Circle is held periodically throughout the year on Wednesday mornings

Writing Guides & Examples
Pick up your copy of our writing guides and examples from the Careers Service or download them now by logging into CareerHub to search through different documents and career topics. Both in person and online you will find guides for resumes, cover letters, interview tips, the STAR Model, career planning guides and more.
Mock Assessment Centre Workshops
Semester One: 23rd April from 3pm
When hiring graduates and vacationers, some organisations will require you go through an 'Assessment Centre' as part of the recruitment process. This interactive workshop will help you prepare for Assessment Centres and will give you the opportunity to try some commonly used recruitment activities. This workshop will cover:
- Understanding the Assessment Centre
- Overview of key group and individual activities and why they’re utilised by employers
- Psychometric assessments
- Group exercises
- Reading comprehension and presentation skills
- Key Do’s and Don’ts
