Careers Events

The Careers Service offers students, employers and other organisations the opportunity to be involved with a variety of career related events on campus.

All Careers Events are listed on CareerHub for students to view or submit your registration. Check for event updates regularly and to build these sessions into their personal career development strategy.

  • Careers Expo

    Careers Expo is held in March each year.

    The Careers Expo gives students chance to meet graduate and vacation employers from across Australia. The event also features international organisations and professional bodies.

    The 2017 Careers Expo has concluded. Careers Expo 2018 dates will be confirmed in late 2017.

  • Industry Connect Visits

    Industry Connect is part of the Careers on the Move program. Visits take you into fascinating workplaces to show you what your profession is all about.

    You will be given the chance to network with professionals in your field and hear from the experts to see where your degree can take you.

    Visits take place throughout the year with all events listed on CareerHub.

  • Employer Presentations and 'Pop-up' Displays

    Employers regularly request to speak directly to students. The Careers Service facilitates:

    • Lecture presentations (during core class times)
    • Feature presentations (outside of class)
    • 'Pop-up' employer displays in high-traffic area such as Hub Central, Ingkarni Wardli and the Professions Hub.

  • Visa Information Sessions

    Are you an International student looking for work in Australia? The 'Working in Australia' evening is a chance to hear about opportunities and application processes.

    This event is held twice; May 4th 2016 at 5.10pm and October 12 2016 (register here).

    Places for this event always book fast so be sure to visit CareerHub to secure your seat.

  • Resume and Interview Workshops

    The Careers Service presents weekly resume and job hunting workshops in addition to regular interview workshops. These include:

    • The Resume Writing Workshop (step 1)
    • Application Express Checks (step 2)
    • The Interview Circle
    • Job Hunting workshops

    Register for a session to assist you with applications on CareerHub and visit our 'Applications and Interviews' page for more resources.

The Careers Service is a free service available to all current students and recent graduates (for up to one year after completion).
