How does it work?

Student Printing Periods

Each year there are two printing periods:
Printing Period 1 - 1st January to 30th June
Printing Period 2 - 1st July to 31st December.
(Please note that within the first week of the commencement of each period the University Funded Quota will be applied to your account).

University Funded Quota

Undergraduate and Postgraduate Coursework students will be provided with a University funded quota of $36.00 for each printing period. Any unused University quota from a previous printing period will not be carried forward into the next period. You must have sufficient quota for the job you intend to print. If you print a job during system maintenance, the job will print and will be charged to your account when the service returns. If this results in a negative balance, this amount will be deducted from any future quota applied.

Self-Funded Quota

Students have the option to purchase additional quota at the following locations:
North Terrace Campus - University Contact Centre, level 4, Wills Building
Waite Campus - Enquire in the WISA Office.
Roseworthy Campus - Front Office in the Main Building.
At the end of each printing period, unused self-funded quota is carried forward into the next printing period.
It is important to note that Self Funded quota will not be refunded upon Graduating or leaving the University.

Faculty/School Funded Quota

Faculties/Schools may choose to contribute additional quota for their students. The application form to increase or allocate a quota is available for download here or at the locations as above.

Print Charging

All printing is monitored and charged against your account. Printing costs are dependent on the type of printing required.

Monitoring Your Printing

You can monitor your usage by selecting the Account Summary link on this web page. You will be sent an automatic email message informing you when you have almost used your available quota.

Adjustments for Print Faults

If you have been charged for faulty printing you should present your faulty document to University Contact Centre staff and request that an adjustment be made to your printing account. Students will be advised of the outcome of their request by email.
