Refunds, Remissions and Re-credits

When you don't continue with your studies

If you withdraw from a course(s) or do not successfully complete a course(s), the University will:

re-credit any associated Student Learning Entitlement (SLE)
refund any Student Contribution (SC) paid up front; and/or
remit any HECS-HELP liability.

This applies in the circumstances explained in the following table.

*Where no student action is indicated, refunds/adjustments will be processed automatically by the University and do not require action by the student.

Special Circumstances Refunds

As indicated in the previous table, students who withdraw from a course(s) after the Census Date due to special circumstances may apply for a Special Circumstances Refund.

Grievances about Re-credit, Refund or Remission Decisions

Students may raise grievances about re-credit, refund or remission decisions in accord with the Student Complaints Policy.
