Fee Paying Students
International Student Fees
International Students at the University of Adelaide are required to pay international student fees for their respective program of study. The annual fee for a particular program is based upon the standard full-time enrolment of 24 units per year. The amount to be paid therefore depends upon your program of study and your enrolment load. Should you 'overload' or 'underload', your fees will be increased or decreased accordingly.
Fees vary between Faculties and Schools and can also vary within Faculties and Schools as they are calculated according to the discipline of study. Therefore students undertaking a course (subject) from another discipline will be charged for that course at the rate applicable to that discipline. This may mean an increase or decrease in the tuition fees.
The University lists all of the 2008 tuition fees and Commonwealth supported contribution charges for each course on our website at: http://access.adelaide.edu.au/courses/search.asp. You should follow the course finder option to find the course you are interested in and to see the relevant 2008 charges.
The fees quoted should be used as a guide, some variations may occur where rounding is required or where a fee paying student commenced their program prior to 2008.
Local Fee Paying Places (including Australian Fee Based Enrolment)
A local fee paying place means that the student is responsible for the real cost of their program. The student is required to either pay their tuition fees directly to the University or defer their payments through FEE-HELP (if eligible).

Please note: 2008 was the last year the University offered AFBE places to local undergraduate students, however students who are Commonwealth Supported and exhaust their Student Learning Entitlement or International Students who gain permanent residency can be transferred into a domestic fee paying place.
Students who are currently studying an AFBE program can contact Student Finance on 08 8303 5880 or studentfinance@adelaide.edu.au with any fee related questions.
2009 Fees for Continuing Students
Students who commenced their program in 2008 or earlier can determine what their 2009 program fee will be by downloading the relevant Undergraduate or Postgraduate Microsoft Excel File*.
Every care has been taken to ensure that these figures are correct. If you feel that the fee quoted for your program is incorrect, or if the invoice you receive in 2009 does not reflect the correct fee please contact studentfinance@adelaide.edu.au
After downloading, students can enter their student type (international or local), their program name and the year they commenced. The 2009 fee will then be displayed. The fee displayed is based on a full time (24 unit) enrolment.
