Consequences of Late or Non Payment of Fees

If you do not pay your fees by the due date, the consequences are as follows.

If you

• are eligible for FEE-HELP, and
• have completed a 'Request for FEE-HELP assistance' form, and
• have provided the University with your Tax File Number (TFN)

any outstanding fees as at census date will be deferred to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). There will be no impact on your studies. Once your fees have been deferred, you can no longer pay them through the University. The Australian Taxation Office handles it after that.

If you

• have not completed a 'Request for FEE-HELP assistance' form, or
• have not provided your Tax File Number, or
• are not eligible for FEE-HELP

your enrolment will be cancelled if the fees are not paid by the due date. The University will provide you with a warning before cancelling your enrolment.

You can enter your TFN in Access Adelaide by resubmitting your request for FEE-HELP form:

1. Select the 'My Finances' Menu.
2. Select 'Payment Category'.
3. Select the 'Apply for FEE-HELP' button.
4. Follow the prompts and enter your TFN where required, and answer all questions on the form.
5. Select 'Submit Form'.

Tax File Number and FEE-HELP

If you are eligible for and wish to access FEE-HELP and did not provide your Tax File Number when you completed your enrolment checklist you must do so by the relevant Census Date, otherwise you will be converted to a full Fee-paying student and must pay the full fees for your program. To provide your TFN enter it in Access Adelaide as described above.
