Consequences of Late or Non Payment of Fees

If you do not pay your fees by the due date, the consequences are as follows.

If you

• are eligible for FEE-HELP, and
• have completed a 'Request for FEE-HELP assistance' form, and
• have provided the University with your Tax File Number (TFN)

any outstanding tuition fees as at census date will be deferred as a HELP debt to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). There will be no impact on your studies. Once your fees have been deferred to the ATO, you can no longer pay them through the University.

If you

• have not completed a 'Request for FEE-HELP assistance' form, and
• have not provided your Tax File Number, or
• are not eligible for FEE-HELP

your enrolment may be cancelled if the fees are not paid by the census date. The University will provide you with a warning before cancelling your enrolment.

Eligible students can request FEE-HELP Assistance by submitting the request for FEE-HELP form:

1. Select the 'My Finances' Menu.
2. Select 'Payment Category'.
3. Select the 'Apply for FEE-HELP' button.
4. Follow the prompts and enter your TFN where required, and answer all questions on the form.
5. Select 'Submit Form'.

Tax File Number and FEE-HELP

If you are eligible for and wish to access FEE-HELP and did not provide your Tax File Number when you completed your enrolment checklist you must do so by the relevant Census Date, otherwise you must pay the full fees for your program prior to census date. To provide your TFN enter it in Access Adelaide as described above.
