Expand your connections, have fun and be successful!
The culture and expectations at uni are different from those at high school, TAFE or other educational institutions. Our Peer Networking Programs will help you to adapt with ease!
Peer Networking Programs provide opportunities to build professional networks with both students and academic staff from diverse backgrounds and cultures that will stand you in good stead in your future careers. It’s great to practice building relationships beyond your current friendship group.
Participating in Peer Networking Programs often leads to becoming a Peer Mentor in such Programs - a positive addition to any resume or CV.
Peer Mentors are students who have recently completed their first year of study and are willing to share their knowledge and experience with you so that you can have the best possible start to your life as a university student. They are available for the duration of the Peer Networking Program to respond to your questions and concerns related to uni life and study.
Peer Networking Programs hold social and academic events. At these events you meet other first year students undertaking similar study programs. For details, please check the Available Programs web page to see which Peer Networking Program best suits your needs.
Most Peer Networking Programs operate during the first half of Semester 1. An initial Peer Networking event is usually held during the main Orientation Week at the beginning of the academic year.
